The Level 6 qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety are developed to provide learners who have or are looking to develop into a senior role in an organisation for managing health and safety policy and practice. Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to understand the legal and regulatory background to occupational health and safety policy, to be able to assess policies, as well as to recommend and implement policy changes. Learners will develop knowledge and skills relevant to putting policy into practice, utilising management systems, resources, risk and incident management, leadership, management and skills development. Graduates are eligible to apply for Certified Membership (CertIOSH) of IOSH. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 1- A relevant NQF/QCF/RQF qualification covering core OHS concepts such as legislation, risk management, occupational health, and safety management principles. 2- Accepted qualifications include: NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Level 3, British Safety Council Level 3, NCRQ Level 6. 3- Mature learners (21+) with at least 2 years of experience are eligible. 4- Minimum age: 18 years. 5- English language competency required for non-native speakers. EQUIVALENCE RQF Level 6 is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours or a Graduate Diploma. DURATION AND DELIVERY Approximately 4 months full-time, with flexible part-time, distance, and blended learning options. ASSESSMENT All units are internally assessed and externally verified by OTHM.
